Vintage rolls, petticoats and doo-wop. This was my day at the Ealing Vintage Pop-Up Fair last Saturday. The whole church was a buzz of retro delights. The sun was out and everyone was in the best of moods, whether they were listening to the ladies of The Buttercups sing their a capella doo-wop, sipping tea from the delicate vintage teacups of Tea Darling or wolfing down Eva Rose’s cupcakes. Amy from the vintage dress store Clarence and Alabama organised the event and was there to greet everyone with her fabulously feminine dresses as you walked in. There were free vintage makeovers from the girls at Visage, who were dressed to impress in their own vintage gowns. Guiltily Sara, Nicole and Tania were all tackling my long mane at once! Beautiful curls, two perfect victory rolls and a flick of 50s liner. Who cares if people stared as I awkwardly walked home, I felt special! Watch this space for pictures to come.
