There’s something incredibly therapeutic about bringing home brand new make up brushes. They’ve never been touched, are super silky smooth AND you don’t have to worry about washing them before use? Amazing! After purchasing a well known, raved about powder in my previous Boots Haul, the realisation set in that, actually, I don’t own a single utensil for the job. Aka a powder brush. Aka the only other thing you need for this two man task. D’oh! As someone who travels a lot, something small and compact was in order.
The Eco Tools 5 Piece Brush Set was perfect. Miniature enough to fit into their own tiny carry case. It contains a powder brush, Kabuki brush, concealer and eyeshadow blending brush. The bristles glide onto the face and do not irritate my sensitive skin, which is a must. For concealer I use the blending brush as I find it gives a more even coverage and gets into all the little nooks and crannies. Combined with the powder, it creates a seamless, flawless finish. The Kabuki brush is so soft that even if I wasn’t applying make up, I may feel obliged to trickle it across my face. When used with blush it creates a stunningly subtle touch of colour to the cheek. To boot, the brand is 100% cruelty-free, bamboo and uses only sustainable or recyclable components in their designs. As a beginner brush hoarder, this set will keep me content and occupied for a long time to come… I tell myself in hope.
