In today’s calender unveiling was another natural brand I’ve never heard of before, ESPA Skincare. How exciting! The brand’s philosophy is “a little natural beauty goes a long way” or more simply, less is more. I hope so as I received two sample products tucked away in a cute little box. These were also joined by a gift card of £15 with no minimum spend. So far so good.
The first sample from their range was a product named Optimal Skin ProSerum. This boasts helping to brighten and even your skin tone, enhance elasticity, firmness and protect again anti ageing. I’ve never owned a serum before and in all honesty am not sure how to use it. It instructs to use a few drops before moisturising. The formula is liquid and oil like due to the omega and vitamin oils it contains and feels lovely once soaked in, leaving a beautiful glow to the skin. Unfortunately I’m still sick and without a sense of smell but I’m sure it smells lovely as it is infused with essential oils such as Patchouli and Rose. Perfect for sensitive skin it is 99% natural. The full size retails for £48 (30ml) so I’m jumping for joy that I get to test this out through a sample.
The second from ESPA was their Refining Skin Polish, a cleansing and brightening exfoliator. The key ingredient here is Rounded Diamataceous Earth. I will explain. These are entirely natural, micro-abrasive particles used to buff away dry skin, improve circulation and stimulating cell regrowth. The texture is obviously slightly rough as it should be but not in an overbearing way. I can’t see this being irritating at all. Even dryly swatching this the formula melts into the skin, helped along by the addition of soothing Shea Butter and Carrot Oil. Looking forward to testing this one out as I’ve been on the lookout for a good natural exfoliator that will work with my eczema. This retails for £25.50 for a 55ml jar.
With these samples I feel like I’m really getting my moneys worth in this advent calender. Two samples and a £15 gift card? Pretty darn good in my opinion!
