Popping open my box this morning I was welcomed with a white tube of pure beauty luxury. A ‘No Foundation Foundation’ from Perricone MD Cosmeceuticals. Another new brand discovery. It is described as a anti-ageing, multi-tasking translucent foundation with non-chemical SPF 30. At first squeeze the colour looked very dark for me and the fairer option probably would have worked better. Saying that, it is super sheer and could look nice sparsely blended in for a little hint of tan.
When I swatched and blended it into my arm it did seem to fade away, creating a radiance and dewiness to the skin. However, this is a no go for those who want a higher coverage as it doesn’t conceal anything. At least it didn’t conceal the slight redness I had from my eczema. The packaging for the sample and full sized product is quite clinical, like something a dermatologist would prescribe rather than a luxury beauty product but I don’t mind this at all. As a bonus it smell distinctly sweet for a foundation. On the website there are over 200 reviews proclaiming the brilliance of the product and incredibly it retails at £47 for 30ml, which is pretty daunting for a budget buyer like myself. Although I wouldn’t spend that much on a tinted moisturiser, it’s exciting to have a sample of such luxury to carry around with me and give a go. Who knows, maybe I’ll get hooked?
