It seems to be serums galore this Christmas. This is the third I’ve received in my beauty calendar and I’m not complaining, serums tend to be one of the more expensive items to have in your skincare regime. The one from yesterday’s box is topping that list. The BIOeffect EGF Serum retails for £125 for 15ml. Incredible! It arrived in a teeny tiny bottle with a mini squeezy tool (What are they called again?). The serum prides itself in improving the appearance of skin by encouraging the skin to repair it’s own cells. This is all very sci-fi. The key ingredient is Epidermal Growth Factor, which occurs naturally in human skin to help regeneration. If this is true it could be a breakthrough for my eczema. In all honesty I could never spend that much on a beauty product but with this little sample it will be intriguing to see if this cell regeneration thing really does help. The formula is quite sticky and less oily than other serums, gliding and then sticking onto the skin. I’m not a fan of the smell. To me it has a cheesy edge… although that maybe as it contains absolutely no fragrance. Right now I’ve added it to a patch of red, dry skin on my neck and will continue to do so until it runs dry. Let’s see what this baby can do.
What your spending limit on skincare? Could you splurge this much on a beauty product?
