Summer is finally here… well, sort of. When I think summer I think light, bright pastel colours. Suddenly I have mint on my nails and coral on my lips. I saw the MUA Pretty Pastels palette in my local drugstore and couldn’t wait to have a play around when I got home. MUA is a fantastic brand and budget at £4 for 12 colours!
Usually I’m not one for such light shades. I tend to prefer purples or classic neutrals but today I felt a play date coming on when my eye caught sight of this lovely palette.
♥ Prime eye (Nivea Primer Cream)
♥ Light Lilac shade all over the lid and beneath
♥ Light blue shade on the center and outer corner of the top lid and the same on bottom lash line.
♥ Matt light brown colour on the outer V
♥ Thin line of brown eyeliner (Rimmel Kohl Liner) on the top lid and on 1/3 of the bottom lash line.
♥ Light white shade in inner corner
♥ Mascara (Benefit Bad Gal Lash) and nude eyeliner (Rimmel Scandal Eyes) to finish
This look is a real eye brightener and would certainly suit anyone with big baby blues. This is also great for anyone looking to make their eyes look bigger and more doll like.
The palette itself has some nice shades, although a lot are quite similar to each other like the lilac which acted more as a white than as colour. Also the the majority are shimmers. However they are very pigmented and stay well on the lid. You can really pack these on and not worry about them. A plus in my book.
I also have the MUA Heaven & Earth Palette which is great if you like neutral shimmer shades.
Do you own any MUA products? What do you think of the brand?
